Amish Country
This was my third stock assignment of the Amish, the first in Lancaster, PA. All of the photos were made discreetly by car or long lens. The landscape is something from a Grant Wood painting, with corn rows and crop squares defining hill after hill in alternating shades of green and yellow.

I used one of Don's grizzlies for a book cover last year, and now this beauty has appeared on the cover of Canadian Geographic. To see more of Don's incredible wildlife and nature photography -- and to learn more about polar bear expeditions -- go to www.donjohnstonphotos.com.
