Nova Scotia & Boston Tree Lighting
I toured with Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston on the day of the Boston Tree Lighting. The tree is an annual gift that Nova Scotia brings to Boston in appreciation for the aid the City lent to Halifax in the aftermath of the massive munitions boat explosion in 1917. Below: meeting of American and Canadian representatives; the Premier viewing Governor Bill Weld's portrait; a meeting with Governor Baker; the Christmas Tree dedication; Boston Mayor-Elect Wu greets the audience; performer at the Tree Lighting.
